village built on the ruins of an abandoned medieval hamlet, it stands out on a sinuous hill behind Sanremo giving an evocative and unreal image of itself.<br>In 1887, a violent earthquake struck the Sanremo hinterland, seriously damaging <strong>Bussana Vecchia<\/strong>. The village was abandoned.
